The Children’s Integrated SaLT Service for Hackney and the City is well respected both locally and nationally. We welcome additional buy-ins from individual settings, schools and colleges. The majority of these are located in Hackney however it is possible for institutions outside of Hackney to commission the service.
Robust systems exist to ensure the best quality of service provision e.g., clinical supervision, ongoing CPD for staff, engagement in clinically based research. The service quality has been recognised by a number of awards and achievements.
SaLTs who work for the service are selected through a rigorous recruitment process and are highly motivated and skilled. The Hackney SaLT team is large, meaning individual SaLTs have access to a wealth of resources and expertise.
If you would like to discuss renewing or establishing a new buy-in please contact the SaLT office who will help you. Various packages are available including bespoke training, programmes to support whole classes (Launch Pad for Language) and year around SaLT working in school (e.g., two days / week).
