If you are a Hackney resident, your child is under 5 years old and you are concerned about their speech, language or communication, you can attend a Talking Walk-In Initial Assessment. A Speech and Language Therapist will be able to give you some advice and, if appropriate, you will make a plan together about the most appropriate next steps (this may include further assessment of your child or booking in for some therapy sessions).
All initial assessment Talking Walk-in appointments are appointment only. If you would like to book a session, please complete our referral form.

Alternatively, you can call 020 7683 4262 and leave a voicemail message with your name, contact number and your child’s name and date of birth. A member of our team will get back in touch with you as soon as possible.
If your child attends full-time school, please contact the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) in the school who can refer your child to our service.
